A Perfect Day in Cancun

Cancun-resort

Last week Bebé and I spent the day at a small hotel in the HoZo (aka the Hotel Zone). It’s always fun to go with friends, but the fact that it was just the two of us made it a special day.

I actually used to work for the company that used to own this hotel, and I have always loved it. It has a lot of character and it’s very small, I hope the new owners don’t change it too much.

Bebé found a playmate to share his toys with and we had a wonderful, relaxing day. There’s not too much more to say, in this case, the pictures tell the story.

We avoided the beach this weekend due to Spring break / Easter vacation, but soon the tourists will head back to real life and Bebé and I will head back to the beach. 🙂

  1. You look fabulous as usual did you cut your hair too? We can;t wait to see you soon!

  2. Perfect day!

  3. Is the name of that hotel Bacarra or something close to that across from plaza flamingo? Looks so familiar.

  4. I thought the colorful pottery looked familiar! I remember when we went there. I think it was when I visited you for the first time. (Where did those years go?!)

And I concur; your haircut -and YOU – look fabulous! And Bebe’s doo is coolio too. (And I love the shades!) 🙂

    • I do not even remember taking you there. We were probably drunk! LOL!

Oh you’re too sweet Pesci! I love and miss you. xo

  5. Hey Girl! Great to find a blog such as yours. I´m currently living in Puebla with my husband, who´s mexican, and we´re moving to cancun to get jobs at Xcaret, for the holiday season. Could you shoot me any advice about a new comer in cancun? I´m sure he´ll have no problems landing a job with his english, but I´m not authorized to work in Mexico and I´m not sure if there´s a lot of interest in hiring an american girl…any words of advice or ANYTHING?

    • Hi Emily, you will probably be able to find a job of some sort, but I highly doubt that Xcaret would hire you without the proper papers. Since you are married to a Mexican, you should work on getting your permanent residency asap. Good luck!

      • Thanks so much. Yeah unfortunately I still have to go through the FM3 before I can receive permanent residency. I have to have FM3 for 2 years and after that i can be a permanent resident since I’m married to a Mexican. I thought I had to be offered a job BEFORE I received the papers. Thats what inmigracion told me…I’m not so sure. Maybe I’ll update you on what happens! Thanks so much!
