As I said in my last Cuba post, I took so many pictures during our short trip (I can’t imagine what would happen if I went for a month and visited more places… hope to do that someday with Bebé) that I decided to divide them into two groups, one with pictures of family and friends and one with pictures of Havana.
I hope that in some small way you can smell the gasoline fumes in the air, hear the rumble of the classic cars, taste the cold Cristal beer, hear the music in the streets and feel the intense Caribbean heat.
Fishing boats and El Morro…
Papi’s street in Luyano…
Classic cars…
Bebé shouts “Cuba!” everytime he sees the American flag. I think he is a little confused by his multi-cultural roots.
Street performance in Havana…
Best. Beer. Ever.
Congas & Bongos…
Have never stepped foot in this famous place! lol
Seems like we’re headed the right way.
Luyano…
Motorcycle & sidecar…
My favorite shot!
My other favorite shot!
Traffic jam in Havana…
Filming a movie on the Malecon…
Drinking the Best. Beer. Ever. on the stoop…
My other favorite shot!
Watching the tourists walk by…
*True story… while walking in Old Havana I saw a girl wearing the same Old Navy skirt that I had on!

How did you NOT get a picture of Che Guevara? Is his face still on every building?

Maybe because I’m kind of bored of him? haha No pictures of Fidel either! I almost bought Bebé a Che t-shirt though.

This post confirms it. I must make a trip to Havana. I’ve been to Cienfuegos years ago. I have a friend who visits Cayo Coco every year.

Do it Charlotte, before the embargo is dropped and they open a Starbucks. 😉
